Professional companies use custom email domains (e.g., info@companyname.co.za). If an employer is contacting you from a free Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook address and claiming to represent a major retailer or bank, be careful. Check the company website or call them to verify the listing.
4. Trust Your Instincts
If an interview is scheduled in a private home, a hotel room, or a quiet area after hours, do not go alone. Real interviews are conducted at official business offices during business hours.
